To educate and raise awareness of PTSD
PTSD UK is set up to educate and raise awareness of PTSD – it’s causes, symptoms and the treatments available. PTSD UK is the only UK charity which educates on, and raises awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, it’s causes, symptoms & the treatments available – no matter the trauma that caused it.
We aim to make it a safe and welcoming space in which users can discuss mental health, symptoms they may be experiencing, and more specifically, the topic of post-traumatic stress disorder – or PTSD. We are extremely grateful to everyone who contributes to our Facebook page, and offers advice, support and guidance to those who need it.
Our Facebook page has been set up to help keep you updated with the actions and campaigns that PTSD UK is involved in, to open up wider conversations around the topic of post-traumatic stress disorder, and for you to share your experiences of it and treatment.
If you feel as though you may be presenting a risk to yourself or others, or need someone to talk to, please call the Samaritans. Whatever you are going through, you can call the Samaritans for free any time of day, 365 days a year, from any phone on 116 123. Alternatively, you can call the national PTSD helpline (run by PTSD Action) on 01282 787 172. We also strongly advise that if you believe you are experiencing symptoms of PTSD, you should book an appointment with your GP. They will be able to ensure you get appropriate treatment.
We support EVERYONE with PTSD.
