We’re raising money to help with branch projects that take care of veterans and serving soldiers that may have mental health or welfare issues during and after service. The money raised will also help with events that bring soldiers together in the interest of camaraderie […]
A few great events happening over the next couple of months with Combat Stress, a super opportunity to learn more about their vital work to help support former servicemen and women?
Have a cup of tea and a slice of cake you’ll have the chance to hear first-hand about our life-changing treatment and the support you can give. At the first event in Portsmouth, Royal Navy veteran Dave will be sharing how life is different today after treatment and our occupational therapist Christie will be on hand to talk about her work with veterans in the community.
The events are taking place at three different locations:
16 October: Royal Maritime Club, Portsmouth, PO1 3HS
15 November: St Thomas’s Church, Salisbury SP1 1BA *** CONFIRMED ***
20 November: Camberley (venue tbc)
Each event will take place between 11am and 2pm, with a 10-minute talk about our work on the hour, every hour. There will also be a fundraiser at each event to answer any questions you might have if you’re thinking about leaving a gift in your Will.
Please note: this is a fundraising and awareness event. If you are a veteran struggling with your mental health, please contact our free 24-hour Helpline by calling 0800 138 1619, texting 07537 404 719 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
